The Art program at Berry consists of a general introduction to design, drawing, sculpture, painting, art history, print making, and art forms. The students will also learn how to use a variety of media to create their works of art. The course also includes an orientation in the use of a variety of media and the basic skills essential in the use of each material.

Students enjoy learning songs and playing new instruments as well as participating in UIL competition. These instruments are played in band.

• Woodwind: Flutes, Oboes, Clarinets, Alto, Tenor, and occasionally Baritone saxophones, Bassoons.

• Brass: Tubas, Trombones, Trumpets, French Horns, Occasionally Baritones, or Euphoniums.

• Percussion:  Students will learn a variety of instruments including snare drum (using a drum pad with beginners), keyboard instruments such as xylophone and bells, and also smaller percussion instruments as well.

Our girls and boys choirs learn to sight read, sing solo, and sing with music together as a team. We go to UIL competition every year and do very well each year! We enjoy working hard and showing our skills that we learn and strive for excellence.
